民国年间，因妹妹被杀而消极怠工的巡警大川因民众投诉被警察厅开除，留洋归来的富家小姐万欣和哥哥万一看出大川实力，力邀大川加入萬事务所，三人合作决定彻查焦尸案，以打响万事务所知名度。。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。
