《巴斯特·斯克鲁格斯的歌谣》是由六个部分组成的西部题材选集电影，乔尔·科恩和伊桑·科恩利用他们独树一帜又无与伦比的视角，讲述了关于美国边境的系列故事。电影的每一章都讲述了一则独特的美国西部故事。。佐桥皆人（立花慎之介配音）是一个普通的应届考生，运气不好的他在连续两次落榜后，决心要向心目中的理想大学展开第三轮进攻，没想到，一个少女的从天而降彻底改变了皆人平凡的命运。少女名叫结（早见沙织配音），自称鹡鸰，而皆人在她的口中则成为了她的苇牙。原来，如今的首都正在开展一场轰轰烈烈的战争，共有108名鹡鸰参与其中，她们要和她们的主人苇牙结下契约，只有在苇牙的帮助下，她们才能够羽化参加战斗。 就这样，皆人被莫名其妙的卷入了大战之中。除了结外，个头较小脾气却很大的草野（花泽香菜配音），成熟为重法力高强的松（远藤绫配音），桀骜不驯的御姐月海（井上麻里奈配音）等鹡鸰接连出现在了皆人的面前，面对强大的对手，皆人和他的鹡鸰们能够获得最终的胜利吗？。One day, thinking that it will make your wife and friends smile, you shave off the moustache that you have had for the last ten years. Viewers who like their conclusions tidy may rebel, but those who relish outstanding performances in the service of an intriguing idea will be entertained.
